Simplify the following

1) 896 ÷ 5


Quotient = 179

Remainder = 1

2) 696 ÷ 6


Quotient = 116

Remainder = 0

3) 686 ÷ 7


Quotient = 98

Remainder = 0

4) 813 ÷ 8


Quotient = 101

Remainder = 5

5) 891 ÷ 8


Quotient = 111

Remainder = 3

6) 703 ÷ 2


Quotient = 351

Remainder = 1

7) Rahul has 192 toy cars. He put them equally in 6 boxes. How many toy cars will he put in each box? How many toy cars are left over?

Total No. of toy cars = 192

No. of boxes put them equally = 6

No .of toy cars he put in each box = 192 ÷ 6


Answer: He will put 32 toy cars in each box.

No. of toy cars left over = 0

8) Akila has 495 photographs to put in an album. She can put 9 photographs on each page. How many pages can she fill?

Total No. of photographs = 495

No. of photographs she put on each page = 6

No .of pages she can fill = 495 ÷ 6


Answer: She can fill 82 pages.
